Import Journal Entries into QuickBooks Desktop directly from Excel.  Easily create your Journal Entries in Excel using formulas or copy and paste from other systems and when you are ready, just click "Post Journal Entry" and within seconds your Journal Entry is posted to QuickBooks.  

This solution was developed as we needed to post a very large (hundreds of lines) unique Journal Entry every other week for payroll.  We worked through options with IIF imports which worked, but the process was just too complicated - we wanted something much more simple.  Enter the QuickBooks Software Development Kit (SDK).  Using this tool we added some programming onto an Excel Spreadsheet, giving us these benefits:​

  • Copy and Paste from other systems (email, spreadsheets, etc)

  • Build Journal Entries using Excel formulas

  • Save Journal Entry Spreadsheets to be reused as needed

  • Post very large Journal Entries to QuickBooks in seconds with the click of a button
